Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs is one of the few who seems to support an 18-game regular season schedule.

He said he believes that there are more positive than negatives when it comes to an expanded schedule.

One reason he is in favor of an 18-game season is the fact that he will get paid significantly more than he does for those same games in the preseason.

Tom Brady and Ray Lewis are just two players who recently spoke up and said it was a bad idea.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had made it clear that he is very much in support of cutting the preseason and adding to the regular season.

The rookie standout was anything but last year, struggling to find his way in an offense that sputtered under new quarterback Jay Cutler.

Forte said he was banged up and dealing with injuries for much of last season and is finally healthy again.

He expects his healed body to show in his performance on the field as he looks to get back to his 2008 form.

Forte will need to be at the top of his game after the team signed Chester Taylor to battle for the starting job and take away carries.
